Thanks to the students from @powayunified for inviting me to #townhallforourlives. You put on a great event. Seeing you engaged in our democracy gives me great hope on #gunsense and many other challenges.

As young people continue to pressure Congress to implement stricter gun laws, students from Poway Unified School District are making their voices heard.

Yesterday, students gathered at Westview High School to share their perspectives on gun control and school safety. Congressman Scott Peters attended the event.

It was part of a nationwide initiative called the Town Hall for Our Lives, which was organized for April 7 because all members of Congress were in their districts during their recess.
